The John Endecott Family Association, Inc.

Formerly Known as the Endecott-Endicott Family Association, Inc.

A little about the organization:

  • Our organization was founded on June 1, 2002 at our 1st Endicott Cousins Reunion in Lexington, KY.
  • The Endecott-Endicott Family Association, Inc. was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Kentucky on June 8, 2004. The name was changed to the John Endecott Family Association, Inc. to be more inclusive and to honor the spelling of the name used by John Endecott.
  • We became a 501(c) 7 organization registered with the Internal Revenue Service on November 29, 2005.
We are governed by a Board of Trustees made up of members who are typically Life Members and direct descendants of John Endecott. Biography profiles and photos are on the website.
  • We place great importance in history and enjoy holding “Cousins Reunions” during which we conducted ancestral recognition and discuss projects offered by the membership.
Our membership is approximately 150 member and represents 34 states, Canada, England and Australia.
  • We participate in the Endicott Research Forum at Endicott_Gen@yahoogroups.com where Endicott Cousins are sharing our research.
  • We have published a semi-annual journal, Our Endicott Heritage Trail© since May, 2005. It is currently available as an electronic newsletter sent to members or available on the website. Our Endicott Heritage Trail received a National Award from the National Genealogical Society on May 9, 2012 in Cincinnati, OH
  • We have several projects that have been undertaken including financial assistance with the Endecott Burial Ground in Danvers, MA and the Portrait Project. The organization contributed to the restoration of the portrait of John Endecott. This portrait will soon be placed on permanent display in the State House.
